New at Milo’s Bazar marketplace are the Aviator Sunglasses Curved Edition. Milo makes the coolest sunglasses and glasses and most models are unisex and contain lots of different tint and texture options.

I’ve been in the mood for jazz, the slow sultry kind, ever since Mahogany started performing in Second Life. Whatever Lola Wants is one of my favourite songs that she sings, along with Black Coffee, Fever, and she does an amazing Why Don’t You Do Right *sighs*, and the list goes on.

On Friday Mahogany is not only doing her regular show at Gypsy’s Jazz & Blues Club, she’s doing a one time only event at Lust Ultra Lounge. It’s going to be something special and I can hardly wait! This is where I would link to Mahogany’s live performances schedule but that page is still under construction. You can however send me or Mahogany an IM in-world if you’re interested in knowing more about her singing!

New from CHEZ MOI and available exclusively right now at Cosmopolitan, is the Hippie Mini Trailer. It contains a HUD controlled texture changer with nine different options for the blanket/curtain and you can choose between ten different colours for the trailer. PG or Adult version, filled with adjustable single and couple animations with prop rezzer. You can also touch the attached cooler for a drinks menu that dispenses ‘wearable’ and temp attached drink props, which means no inventory clutter for you or your guests.

At the Never Totally Dead… mainstore and marketplace you can find Madame VavaRoom’s Van. Please observe that the van is an… Adult item. Containing some uhm, adult decor 😉

Outside the wind was raging and the rain pouring down as I was lazing on a bench under a tree in Second Life, watching Mahogany set up for a photo. Fall is knocking on my door today and I have to let it in because I have puppies that need walking. In Norway we have a saying; there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.. Uhm. Yeah. Where’s my raincoat?

It’s not one giant step that does it. It’s lots of little steps.

Someone said that a shortcut is the longest distance between two points. There’s much truth in that. I can’t remember a single time where I’ve been pleased with the outcome after I’ve rushed something or tried taking a shortcut. On foot shortcuts work very well when you know the map, but in life in general? Nope. Forget it. Take all the little steps needed to make sure you achieve your goal. It takes as long as it takes and it’s worth it.

Ba Mwen En Ti bo

I’ve been spending all of my SL summer in the tropics and I love it! Ba Mwen En Ti Bo, “Give Me A Little Kiss”, is the name of this charming rum bar by Never Totally Dead… and it’s their prize for the Skull-n-Bones hunt that’s open August 18th – September 18th. When the hunt ends, the prize will be gone! Feel free to play the whole hunt, or just visit the NTD store to grab the prize! it’s up to you! You can find info, hints, etc at the store! Happy hunting!

Flying carpet: Never Totally Dead…

Oh yeah, and if you’re not allergic to rum like someone I know… you can make your own Rum Sunset…

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. orange juice
  • 3 oz. light rum
  • 2 tbsp. grenadine
  • lime slices, for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine orange juice and rum. Set aside 1/3 of the mixture.
  2. Pour 2/3 of the orange juice mixture into 2 ice-filled glasses. Set aside.
  3. Mix reserved orange juice and rum with 2 tbsp. grenadine. Slowly pour into each glass so it settles on the bottom, creating an ombré effect.
  4. Garnish with lime slices.

The Garuda is a mythical creature featured in both Hindu and Buddhist lore; a semi divine creature, half-bird, half-man. In Hindu mythology it represents birth and heaven and is the enemy of all snakes. In Buddhism Garudas are not a single being but more a mythical species, able to cause hurricane force winds with their several miles wide wingspan, charged to protect Mount Meru. In Tibet the Garudas are a symbol of wisdom and all over Sout-East Asia statues of Garudas are protecting the temples. No wonder the Garuda is also popular tattoo art!

I’m happy to showcase several new releases today! Let’s start off with the most adorable ice cream vendor ever; the Gelato Car by CHEZ MOI, available at this round of Cosmopolitan which ends August 24th. Upon touch it gives you a wide selection of flavours to choose from and hands you temp attached ice cream. CHEZ MOI also just released the Sunset Bistro set – The lovely bistro table and chairs, comes with decor that upon touch gives you a temp attached cup of coffee. The set also comes with a texture changer HUD where you can mix and match the colours of the metal and chair cushions. You get one linked set of table and two chairs with a multitude of single and couple animations and automatic prop rezzer, and you can rez as many single chairs as you like, each containing 37 single animations.
