It’s not exactly looking like winter outside my house right now, but this is how January usually looks where I’m from and if you’re wondering, yes it usually takes a while for the plow trucks to clear all the roads after the nightly snowfall. The rainstorm I’m experiencing right now is a blizzard just a little further north. I talked to my mum on New Year’s Eve and she’d given up shovelling snow for the day; she lit the fireplace and settled down indoors for the rest of the evening.
