Today, an asylum is a place of refuge and protection but I’m finding myself outside the more old-fashioned kind of asylum and it’s creepy! Refuge is participating in the October round of The Liaison Collaborative with the Asylum Backdrop and in collaboration with Zombie Suicide they are also offering three fun friends poses to go with it! I’m only showing the backdrop today so make sure you check this item out over at TLC.
I’m early showing the YAKIM tattoo from Kira for the upcoming round of Dubai. It just fits so well in this picture, I had to! The event opens 12 PM on October 20th, make a note! 😉
If you didn’t already know, the Full Goatee Grooming Series by Magnificent lets you choose between several styles of goatee, not only the one I’m showing here. And it’s easy too, just wear the beard and stache, they’re unrigged so you can adjust it to fit your head perfectly. Add the HUD and choose your style as well as the color and shine.
Released around this time last year, The Witch Hunter Hat by BONDI. Did you miss it? You can find it in the BONDI mainstore or marketplace. Halloween style tip: Wear it with the black Hart Vest from Deadwool. Super cool. I wanted to show off the tattoo this time so I found it also looks good together with the Trench Coat by WAZ and probably most duster coats too.
La Petite Vie keeps taking me to the most beautiful places with their builds and this time we’re in the historical city of Campeche, Mexico. La Petite Vie is participating in Tlalli: The Fair Around The World – Mexico with the Campeche backdrops, or rather, they are beautifully detailed filler builds. The extra bonus about these builds is you get texture changer HUDs for the exterior walls of both builds so you can create a whole street of colorful Mexican houses if you want to! Backdrop 1 is 17 LI and Backdrop 2 is 28. The builds are Copy / Modify.
Also at Tlalli, dudes and ladies, is the beautiful Undead tattoo by TAOX TATTOO and yes it’s unisex. It comes in three intensities, all the right appliers and BoM layers too.
BONDI is at The Arcade with The Outlaws glasses gacha. Add a touch of post apocalytic punk to your glasses collection. Each pair of glasses in The Outlaws collection come with a HUD to turn blinders on or off and adjust the lens opacity.
We haven’t had a chance for a proper toast yet but we’ll have one soon enough. In the meantime we can enjoy a drink together right here on Second Life, so here’s to us my love! 😉
DiMi’s Love Boat Scene was recently released for the Versus event and is now available at DiMi’s mainstore! The scene is 29 LI, Copy / Modify and it contains the boat, blanket with pillows, lifebuoy, palm trees, parasol, flowers and grass. The blanket contains single and couples animations (PG and Adult).
FashionNatic is participating in the MAN CAVE event with the Brooks outfit; you get Pants, Top and Shoes and the fatpack HUD contains a magnitude of texture and color options for all the items – You can choose a different look every day for a long time with an outfit from FashionNatic! The Brooks outfit is compatible with Belleza Jake (shown on me), Signature Gianni and Legacy male bodies.
I love you the way a drowning man loves air. And it would destroy me to have you just a little.
The Crown of Embers
I’m in Tuscany, waiting for my date. We’re going to buy some food and drinks at the local market and take a bicycle trip to our favourite picnic site and just enjoy the quiet countryside, good food and each others company.
DiMi’s Tuscany photo scene/backdrop, is available right now exclusively at the RFL Home & Garden Expo. 120 Li. The scene is sold complete (Copy / Mod.) or in separate objects (Copy). Demo available at DiMi’s mainstore and at the H&G Expo.
DiMi’s Tsubo-Niwa is a small Japanese garden backdrop/photo scene for sale at this round of Driftwood. The scene is Copy/Modify and out of the box 86 Land Impact. Demo available at DiMi’s mainstore.
And now for the “just because” part. I sometimes do unsponsored blog posts, just because, but it’s been a while now since I did that. Reading Victoria James’ blog post Isn’t It Romantic the other day inspired me to do one again myself. Well, it’s semi just because at least. I found so much stuff I liked at this round of TMD and I’d like to share it with you. The hair from Dura, the facial hair from Volkstone, the jacket from not so bad and the backpack from .etiquette are all at TMD this round. So freaking awesome!
A collaboration between DiMi’s and Angel’s Art Pose has resulted in this adorable camping backdrop/scene. The scene contains everything you see in the picture and there are 6 lovely couple poses in the tree trunk. The scene is 96LI and Copy/Mod which means you can move stuff around and resize them as you wish. You can buy the complete scene or separate pieces (Copy only). This scene was first available at La Vie En Pose but since I’m lagging behind a little after my vacation, you can now find it in DiMi’s mainstore.
DiMi’s Store has a new backdrop/scene out at this round of the Driftwood event. It’s a complete fishing campsite, with tent, campfire, fishing rods, a barrel of fish, a boat, backpacks, grass, trees, a tree stump with a racoon and a dog! This scene is sold complete (71 Li, Copy / Mod.) or in separate objects (Copy). As the scene is Copy/Mod you can edit linked all the objects and place them where you want them.
Treized Designs is at this round of UniK with the Wildking Hoodie. Fatpack HUD has 10 different texture choices and 6 different rope colours. The hoodie is fitted for Signature Gianni/Geralt, Belleza, Slink and Legacy bodies.
I blogged the L&B Havoc Ops Boots for the first time yesterday, today I wanted to show how they look with the socks. Find the boots at this round of TMD!
As we say good bye 2019 I’m thinking about what a year it’s been for me, in “both lives”. Well, I’m one who doesn’t separate the two, but I’m not going to talk about that right now.
What a year it’s been! I’ve only two years as a resident; a year and a half ago I started taking pictures and getting familiar with the viewer camera tools. I did a couple of blog post at the end of 2018, just for fun. Then in the beginning of 2019 I decided I wanted to give blogging a serious go so I found a couple of sponsors that were willing to give a total newbie a chance and the ball started rolling.
After seeing each other online for 8 months, M and I met up and went on vacation together in June. It was wonderful and the most significant thing that happened in my life in 2019 but I’m not going to talk more about that here.
In August I celebrated reaching 1K followers by hosting a photo contest, which was awesome fun for me and I got nothing but positive feedback from those who participated.
Blogging takes hard work and dedication, from the start. I pride myself with having a quality blog and a high Flickr engagement. What’s the use of having 5K followers if you’re not engaging them? Will they remember your picture? Will they notice the brand you’re showcasing? Will they read your blog? Click on that Slurl? No, no, no and no. Ok, now I got derailed for a bit. Or maybe not, because..
In October I was nominated for The Bloggies. Being nominated was a great honour and it told me that I had managed to successfully enter the SL blogosphere and that my blogging was being appreciated by others. To those who nominated me, I’m sending a big big thank you your way.
So what’s in store for 2020? There’s a trip to the US in the very near future. I’ll of course continue blogging and I’m sticking to my all-round style because I love the freedom it gives me, the versatility. Every product is different, every picture lives its own life and sometimes it has a story to tell. What else? Whatever happens, happens. I’m approaching the new year with a positive mindset and my dreams and hopes for the future intact. I truly hope you can say the same. If not, then I wish 2020 is the year of positive change for you. Make it so.
Oh, and today I’m blogging the 2020 Photo Booth by CHEZ MOI! A perfect addition to any New Year’s party, with single, friends and couple poses ready for your guests to take memorable pictures. You can find it at their mainstore and marketplace! And we’re looking mighty fine, wearing the Gage Tuxedo by Lapointe & Bastchild and the Laura Gown by Allure Couture.
