Let me just start by saying I’m not dead, nor am I in a mental coma, I’ve just always loved the optimism in this song by Sweetbox. Actually, maybe in some ways I have been in a mental coma. Not regarding love, but rather, of what my love has to deal with on a daily basis. We lead protected and somewhat naive lives in Norway and Oslo people trying to copy my northerner accent or wondering how many reindeer I have (Sami reference) is nothing, NOTHING, compared to what black americans have lived through for centuries. Yes, yes, before you go raging in my comments Norwegian Sami history is not good, but also not the point right now. And to people that right now are saying All Lives Matter, please don’t. Not right now. What you’re doing is stealing focus away from the Black Lives Matter movement and if you didn’t know it, it’s pretty darn important! So for right now, let’s all focus and work together to get rid of racism because it’s about f***ing time we do that!

Oh! Mahogany and I are snuggling close in the Art Studio photo scene by DiMi’s! You get the paintings on an easel, books on the floor, candles, crates with pillows, paper rolls and even a couple playful kittens and the rug. Reading Victoria James’ blog post Isn’t It Romantic the other day inspired me to do one again myself. Well, it’s semi just because at least. A collaboration between DiMi’s and Angel’s Art Pose has resulted in this adorable camping backdrop/scene. The scene contains everything you see in the picture and there are 6 lovely couple poses in the tree trunk. In my letter to Santa there is only one wish, one that can’t be bought. I’ll just keep it in my heart and hope that one day my wish comes true.

I rarely remember my dreams anymore, I blame a busy life and maybe also not getting enough sleep ;p When I was younger I remembered my dreams and they very often involved wild animals, especially bears and wolves even though I’ve never seen those animals in real life. Where I grew up the most dangerous predator was the wolverine. I used to follow their tracks in winter because I wanted to see them, but I never did find any.

DiMi’s “Happy Bears” winter scene took me straight into a winter dream and with the beautiful new Irezumi tattoo by CAROL G it became this, a bit of a Japanese inspired scene.

The “Happy Bears” backdrop/scene is available at the Driftwood event until January 6th. It’s Copy/Modify and 79 Li out of the box. You can edit linked and move stuff around as you please. It has animated snowfall and the squirrel is animated by Touch. A demo is available at DiMi’s mainstore.

I just fell in love with the Irezumi tattoo the moment I saw it. Now, irezumi literally means ‘inserting ink’ in Japanese. The Traditional Japanese Tattoo “Irezumi” is the decoration of the body with mythical beasts, flowers, leafs, and other images from stories, myths and tales. The impetus for the development of the art was the progression of the woodblock prints and notably the “hero’s heavily decorated with Irezumi”. Wearing Irezumi is an “Aspiration” to life’s goals. You can find this Irezumi tattoo at Men Only Monthly, starting tomorrow, December 20th.
