Need a peaceful place to quiet your mind and find your center? You can create this space in your own home and using only a few items. A comfortable pillow to sit on, incense, candles and an indoor water fountain to set the mood. The Mandala symbolizes the universe and looks really good when decorating your spiritual space. HJM Designs made the water fountain and LozMac made the mandala tapestry you see in this picture and you can find them both at the Home & Garden Expo which is open until April 7th.
The 12th annual Home & Garden Expo Second Life runs from 15th March to 7th April 2019 and is a mega event that raises funds for Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL). This year’s Expo spans 10 regions, and showcases home and garden creations from small decor items through furniture and landscaping to small and large houses.
There’s something for the children too at the SL Home & Garden Expo. Sonder is a store created for the imagination and vibrance of the children of SL. They specialize in home decor, trinkets, wearables, and more to enhance your SL childhood. Together with Sonder’s Blossoms Bed Set I used some of by Chiana Oh‘s creations and put everything inside the Pastel Dreamy Skybox by [QE] Designs, that are all to be found at the Expo.
I’ve never decorated a children’s room before and so I couldn’t find many props or toys in my inventory. With huge help from Mahogany (I don’t think she’s decorated SL children’s rooms before either, but she’s got an impressive inventory!) I was able to furnish this room. Big thanks to Sonder and by Chiana Oh for the furniture, [QE] Designs for the skybox and Mahogany’s inventory for props. Look, we all made this super cute children’s room!

Daft Punk – Get Lucky
I don’t believe in luck, but I feel lucky does that make sense? Maybe blessed is a more fitting word even though it basically means the same thing. I’m feeling blessed in so many ways these days I’m not going to list them all here; you know who you are and you know the reasons why 😘
I am going to mention this one other thing though; when you love fashion or to decorate (or both) and take photos in Second Life, finding a sponsor that you really like is kind of a blessing. Not the (real) life altering one that I was thinking about initially, but kind of a big deal in the virtual world. It makes you love what you do even more!
Now, I feel like I’m still just getting started; with blogging, decor, photography, the works, but I’ve been blessed with meeting people who have shown me the ins and outs in record time and sponsors who are willing to take a chance on a newbie – I love my sponsors for that reason alone but also, they make some pretty great stuff! FKD is one of them and I’m wearing all FKD in this photo. I also want to give the Home & Garden Expo a shout out for choosing me as one of their bloggers. I’ve promised them I’d decorate the most awesome man cave ever if they chose me, so I can’t wait to see what the expo has to offer in that regard! Follow my blog to stay updated!
“Pretty is an accident of nature. Elegant is a self-created work of Art.”
She has hundreds of outfits in her closet and she looks good in everything, but she can’t find anything to wear! While I most of the time just get dressed, there seems to be a much deeper, comprehensive philosophy behind her choice of attire. With the quote “Elegant is a self-created work of art” in mind, I know that creating art often takes time and you toss aside plenty of drafts before you’re able to express what you pictured in your mind. So when she can’t find anything to wear, it has nothing to do with thinking it doesn’t look good (you can say she looks fantastic umpteen times but it doesn’t matter), but rather because she doesn’t know what she wants to express that day or the expression doesn’t match what she pictured in her mind. Thus the act of clothing is the creation of art! Am I on to something, or am I just on something? Either way, I do appreciate and admire fine works of art and when she’s finished getting dressed, I swear, that’s what she is; breathtakingly beautiful and I can’t keep my eyes off of her.
The Room divider ‘Lady’ by EED is not only functional but beautiful decor, with vintage images of women on transparent screens, a cute slipdress on a hanger and a pretty flower arrangement in front it’s perfect for a romantic room or setting. The room divider comes with a resizer and I scaled it down 15% for this scene. At its original size it has a Land Impact of 10.
EED Roomdivider ‘Lady’, available at the EED Marketplace.
Most of us, if not all, could relate to the scene in the 1983 movie Risky Business where Tom Cruise as Joel Goodson, home alone, turns up the volume and dances around in the living room in his underwear. I’m no teenager, but I still do this because why not and also I find it very therapeutic! So here’s my recreation of the scene and what it’d look like in the home of a, ahum, slightly older man. I hope you enjoy it!

Love is in full bloom as we’re fast approaching February. While I’m a fan of showing love every single day of the year, I’m also a hopeless romantic and for Valentine’s Day I’d like to do something extra special; like spending the whole day in a beautiful park. It’s nice that, in Second Life, I don’t have to take the weather into consideration. Let’s make it a warm and sunny day! At the end of the day, after a nice stroll holding hands and a bountiful picnic, we’d relax and snuggle on a comfortable swing; like the “Love You” swing from .:Tm:. Creation. The swing is available exclusively for the Tres Chic Event (open 17th January to 10th February, 2019) at a 10% discount. After the event it will be made available at the .:Tm:. Creation Mainstore.
The “Love You” swing is 100% original mesh. It has a low Land impact of 11 Li. It’s available in PG or Adult version and you can choose between light and dark wood – Permission COPY/MOD/NO TRANSFER.
The swing comes with swinging motion on/off (you find this in the poses menu). No Poseballs – No static poses – Scene Sequence play up to 8 mins of scene (looping x each) – Bento animations included. The frame with love you inscription engraved, should you want to use only the frame (and you can), has a Land impact of 1. Decor included: Love petals Ground cover, has a Land impact of 1.
You can decide to use only the swing or use it together with the frame and you can unlink all the pieces and use them as you wish!
