The NoHo Loft/Skybox by DaD is a modern grunge industrial inspired loft that maximizes space by utilizing the open floor concept, with large windows that provides natural lighting and built-in storage under the stairs leading to the mezzanine level. This is also Woofer’s favourite hideout. Aesthetically pleasing design with features like steel piping throughout and wood beams that gives comfort and ease style of living within a small footprint (28.2×17.5 resizable). Complementing the loft, DaD also just released the NoHo Living Set. The set includes a sofa with plush cushions in a soft black color encased by distressed wood adorned with steel piping. The table is a match piece with the top made from the same worn distressed wood and steel piping legs. It’s not exactly looking like winter outside my house right now, but this is how January usually looks where I’m from and if you’re wondering, yes it usually takes a while for the plow trucks to clear all the roads after the nightly snowfall. The rainstorm I’m experiencing right now is a blizzard just a little further north. I talked to my mum on New Year’s Eve and she’d given up shovelling snow for the day; she lit the fireplace and settled down indoors for the rest of the evening.

At Uber you can find a new release by The Little Branch; the Forest Pansy Tree. While it is the perfect tree for small gardens and courtyards, it is also found in open woodlands, thickets, woodland margins, limestone glades and along rocky streams and bluffs. The tree is lightly animated, 6 Li out of the box but it’s Copy/Modify so you can scale it down, or up, to fit your needs. Touch it for a season changer menu.

The Blue Hour

My last post this year and I’m dedicating it to a natural phenomenon which is called The Blue Hour. Where I live, we experience this light, during the Polar Night, in the middle of the day when the sun is at its highest yet still below the horizon. It’s magical and no picture can do it justice.

Contemporary casual comfort is what you get with the Nolan Living Set by DaD. The set consists of a sofa, armchair and pouf and you’ll find plenty of single-, friends- and couples (PG and Adult) animations in either. Customize the look with the texture changer HUD.

Outside the big glass windows of the DaD Glass House, you can see a new release by Little Branch; the Forest Pansy Tree. It’s a beautiful addition to your garden or sim, lightly animated as if swaying to a gentle breeze and it has a season changing menu upon Touch. I will give you a closer look of it in another blog post because I already have a great idea for a picture.

The Executive

Contemporary, elegant and minimalistic is how I would describe the Executive, a new living room set by Aphrodite Shop/Heart Homes that is out now at the Man Cave event. The couch comes with single and couple bento animations (PG and Adult version). The set includes the couch, coffee table, table decor, rug, wall art, two decorative shelves and a chandelier.

I’ve also included the Raleigh set by Barley Home & Decor, to give my living room a touch of Christmas, without going overboard. I also wanted to mix a little bit of rustic feel into this modern space and the Raleigh Side Table and decor does just that. This set was at the most recent round of Belle and should soon be available in the Barley marketplace.

Snow Covered

Second post today because I have so many awesome items I’d like to show you! Yes, I’m still at work and you might think I’m still procaffeinating but I’ve actually done some work and now I can upload the other picture I took yesterday and quickly, sort of, write this post. I think I’ll have a cookie with my coffee…

The beautiful Oak Tree Shrub by The Little Branch is a new release that is now available at Equal10. The Oak Tree Shrub is an intricately branched ornamental shrub with hollylike leaves. The dense foliage makes it the perfect specimen to fill bare spots or to create a privacy barrier. This shrub will make a beautiful addition to your landscape. Season changer menu is available upon Touch, it’s Copy/Modify and has a Land Impact range of 3-6.

The lovely house is the Southern Cottage by DaD, which is a previous release but the Snow Roof addon is new and waiting for you at the DaD mainstore and marketplace! If you don’t know the Southern Cottage from before here are the specs; It has a large porch that runs along 3 sides of the house. Inside you’ll find a spacious living room, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and dining room/living room. Touch any of the switches to change colour of the exterior or any room. Windows open/close upon Touch. Footprint is 18×33 and Land Impact is 118.

After Sudden Snow

There is something hauntingly beautiful about abandoned ruins that have been left to the natural state of decay. They speak of passage of time, often evoking a connection to history. You can find the DaD Byron Ruined Tower at their mainstore. It comes with single sits and couple animations (PG/Adult) and season changing climbing ivy. It also has a snow add on.

Together with the old ruins I’ve put something new – The Young Tibetan Cherry tree by Little Branch, a new release now available at Santa Inc. until December 20th.

Freezing Over

As if I don’t have enough snow and cold in real life, I went ahead and made it snow outside The Bar @ HaVen. While I was finishing up the ground cover, Little Branch released a new tree so I figured I’d take a picture of it right here before I clutter up the parcel with all sorts of wintery bushes, trees and decor.

Little Branch is at this round of Uber with another beautiful tree; the Zelkova Serrata. Delicately animated like it’s moving to a light breeze. Touch it to bring up the season changer menu. My picture shows the Winter version. The tree is at 7 Li out of the box, but it’s Copy/Mod and resizing it will change the Land Impact.

I dug up the Tree Sled Rezzer from my inventory. It’s a past release by CHEZ MOI so you can find this in their mainstore and marketplace. You and your friends can have some fun in the snow, just click the sign to rez a sled, choose either male or female animation and off you go! Be careful not to swoosh off world!

First Snow

The first snow came in the last week of October, here in Northern Norway. We got about 30 cm (a foot) of snow overnight and it stuck. The world looked like in my picture for several days after. Have you ever tried walking Dachshunds in a foot of snow? 😅

I’m happy to inform you that the “Snow Roof add on Beachyhead House” is now available! Find it at the DaD mainstore and marketplace.

The Snow Add On is 17 Li and Copy/Mod. To use it on your Beachyhead House, rez the “Snow add on Beachyhead House”, edit the Beachyhead House and copy the position and rotation coordinates of the house to the add on.

If you don’t own it already; The Beachyhead House is two floors with windows on three sides for views to the outside and for the light to pour in. It has a large deck in front, two large sliding glass doors open into the house. The doors can be left open so that you have an open floor plan, which makes it great for entertaining. Immediately to the left are 3 steps down that lead you into another large room. Next to the stairs is the staircase going up to the second floor that has a small balcony looking down to the first floor. The second floor has a large bedroom and/or other room.

Throughout the house you have a mixture of wood, brick and solid color textures to accentuate the home. Other features included in the home is the glass wall partitions that separates the rooms below and also borders the stairs and the top balcony. The Beachyhead House is 104 Li, Copy/Mod and its footprint is 35,5×28 out of the box.

Fall Celebration

Let’s take a trip to the countryside, breathe the crisp Autumn air, stay at the Stonehill Cottage for the apple harvest and have some home made cider by the firepit. Ahhhh…

The Stonehill Cottage by Galland Homes is a spacious one-bedroom cottage with an open floorplan on both levels. The cottage is original mesh, materials enabled, 88 LI, has windows that open on touch and is copy/mod.

Next to the cottage we have the Freeman Greenhouse, also by Galland Homes. It’s original mesh design, materials enabled and has a LI of 25.

For the celebration part, I’ve included the Riverdale Hay Set and the Cider Bar by CHEZ MOI. The Hay Couch comes packed with single and couple animations (PG or Adult) and the firepit includes options to turn smoke on or off, as well as the fire and sound fx.
