Swiffer and I are relaxing while we’re waiting for Mahogany to get here. The balconies on the Jengga house from Scafall are perfect for creating several(!) seating areas, and I picked a cozy corner for the modern Terrazzo Patio Set by CHEZ MOI, along with the Mossy Planters from SQUARE.

I’m the proud dad of two Wirehaired Miniature Dachshund girls, RL, and it’s no secret I wanted to name one of them Swiffer. You know, after the duster thingy. Because of their mustache always being to the ground, swiffing dust. My girlfriend at the time didn’t like it lol so they got more um, dignified names. I know, they are ladies after all. So I named my Second Life Short Haired Dachshund Swiffer instead. It’s not quite the same with a Short Haired, but I haven’t yet seen a Wirehaired Dachshund in-world.

The title of this blog post is the title to Aurora’s new album, released just a week ago. Aurora is such a beautiful soul, an amazing artist, so through and through genuine, and always true to herself. I picked the song ‘A Soul With No King’ for this blog post because right now this is my favorite track on the album.

The Obsession Eyes from IKON are now available in the IKON store. I blogged the fantasy Nox line before, but the main line also look amazing, I love wearing them and I chose the Denim and the Oak colors for this picture. These eyes come in BoM/System layers, and LeLUTKA appliers.
Are they good, or are they turning against me? The LORE Golems are so adorable, but you can never know! They come in several elements; granite, iron, ice, to name just a few. Three different versions; standing, sitting, and slumbering, and they all come in large and small versions. The eyes are tintable, just Edit -> Edit linked – Select face -> click the eye and inside the Texture tab, select a color. You can also adjust the glow if you like.
The amazing looking, outstandingly textured, worn and decayed retro living room set is also by LORE. This is the post-apoc version of the LORE Atomic Lounge which also comes in a pristine clean version. There’s a rug too, it just didn’t fit in my scene. The LORE Apoc Directional Signs is a very cool addition to your dystopian/sci-fi/apoc sim or photo. Effervescence is participating in this round of Cyber Fair with the Ripper Implants, which is a full body BoM layer available in a variety of colors (also white tintable) + Material applier for several bodies. This is a unisex item. Scafall had the amazing Japanese inspired Kaizen Bamboo lamps on sale for just 75L for SL Home Decor Weekend Sale this weekend, and if you’re wondering, yes they are still out on the Sales display at the Scafall mainstore as I’m writing this 😉 There are three lovely bamboo lamps; two tall versions and one short. 75L for the fullpack. There are so many goodies in this scene, where do I begin.. Ok, closest to the camera is the cozy Uchu set from Scafall. Uchu 宇宙 (meaning Cosmos). This versatile set consists of a comfy square pouf, which sits you at the height of a normal chair, a solid round table which kinda reminds me of Saturn when I look underneath the table top. Raindale has the wonderful Airvalley balloon 2024 PBR Promo in rainbow colors out for 50L at the Raindale mainstore for the Fifty Fifty Sales event this week. The colors are beautiful, and the PBR materials so wonderfully reflects the sun and the clouds. It contains solo and couple’s PG animations, is 4 Li out of the box, and Copy/Modify.
FANATIK updated their Nordic Pines a while ago with new materials and PBR. They look absolutely amazing! My copy of this product has a PBR reflection probe around each tree. Now, please note that this update was done while it was thought you needed a reflection probe around every single object, so if your items have that, you can edit linked and unlink the probe, and then delete it. Since there’s a global reflection probe implemented on all SL regions, you don’t need individual probes for your outdoor stuff. Not indoors either, but, for indoors items to properly shine you want to make a probe for each room of your house if it doesn’t already come with probes like that. Create the probe, stretch it so that the borders of the probe are inside the walls of the room. A poorly placed probe will create lighting issues, so make sure the sides of the probe are properly hidden inside the wall/floor/roof. Place lamps and lights, and play with the placement of the sun so it shines through your windows, and watch the wonders of PBR! Look how easily I derailed my blog!
