Happy Pride to the LGBTQ+ community. You are all valid, you are all loved, you are all beautiful. Never stop believing that. Happy Pride to all LGBTQ+ allies who also celebrate. To those who don’t celebrate, I know most of you have an understanding of why Pride is important, and you let it happen without interfering. To those of you who for some reason don’t believe the queer community should be allowed this celebration, and even feel the need to go as far as writing hateful comments on social media; please realize you look like idiots. I know I’m being harsh, but this is the truth. Try to use this time for some soul-searching instead, and try to find some love and compassion in there, I promise you, this is what will make YOU happy in the long run, AND MAYBE even make those around you like you more! πŸ˜‰

Raindale has the wonderful Airvalley balloon 2024 PBR Promo in rainbow colors out for 50L at the Raindale mainstore for the Fifty Fifty Sales event this week. The colors are beautiful, and the PBR materials so wonderfully reflects the sun and the clouds. It contains solo and couple’s PG animations, is 4 Li out of the box, and Copy/Modify.

FANATIK updated their Nordic Pines a while ago with new materials and PBR. They look absolutely amazing! My copy of this product has a PBR reflection probe around each tree. Now, please note that this update was done while it was thought you needed a reflection probe around every single object, so if your items have that, you can edit linked and unlink the probe, and then delete it. Since there’s a global reflection probe implemented on all SL regions, you don’t need individual probes for your outdoor stuff. Not indoors either, but, for indoors items to properly shine you want to make a probe for each room of your house if it doesn’t already come with probes like that. Create the probe, stretch it so that the borders of the probe are inside the walls of the room. A poorly placed probe will create lighting issues, so make sure the sides of the probe are properly hidden inside the wall/floor/roof. Place lamps and lights, and play with the placement of the sun so it shines through your windows, and watch the wonders of PBR! Look how easily I derailed my blog!

The Sylvan bar table and stool from Scafall is a elegant and potent statement piece, and when I saw it the first time I immediately pictured it inside a grotto. Of course because of the stalagmite-like rock that the table is fused into, but, the Sylvan set will fit perfectly in any modern or contemporary style lounge or bar. The set consists of the rock table, a stool stool that contains 19 solo animations, including eat and drink, and a very stylish chandelier (light on/off upon touch). Available in the Scafall mainstore, and it’s at a 40% discount right now for members of the Scafall group in-world.

The Stelio bar cart from SQUARE was just a perfect fit in my stylish grotto bar. The bar cart comes fully stocked, and in black, white and wooden versions, and it dispenses a glass of wine upon touch!

Now. The grotto. This is an amazing grotto building kit from FANATIK. It’s not meant to be a huge intricate build, you have the Caves building kit for that, but still there are 32 unique mesh building pieces of 1-9 Li, 4 props (pile of coins, light rays, light fade, crystals), texture HUD with 4 rock types and 7 ground materials. Also you get 5 pre-built cave examples. I used the DaD Courtyard Roman Swimming Pool tiles for my grotto floor because I wanted a level floor for my drinking customers 😜

LORE is participating at the Fantasy Faire with the Medieval Merchant Stall in several wood types and colors, an impressive collection of crystals, and merchant stall signs. 100% of the revenue from the crystal market barrels set, and stall signs collection, are donated to the Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. This is the last day of the faire, make sure to visit before they close!

I decorated the courtyard of the beautiful Arkaig Castle by FANATIK for a market day. Proper medieval style, you see. The castle is a older release by FANATIK, but oh em gee it is still an absolutely stunning build! The courtyard terrain has season change options, I totally love this, it is perfect for roleplay sims or even as an attraction for photographers and explorers. I used the FANATIK stone path building kit to build a path from one side of the courtyard to the other. The kit contains 6 different path shapes and texture change HUD.

It’s not a coincidence that I chose this song to this picture. I know someone who can sing it that way, meaning, it really touches your heart when you hear it, and she’s sitting here on this bench with me. And it’s part of our story, our journey. She’s mine at last, and the skies above are blue.

I’m blogging beautiful new items from Scafall and Konoha today, and also the Cliff Covers from FANATIK are making a reappearance, just because they are amazing looking cliffs. The Callao Talking Bench from Scafall is new in the Scafall mainstore for this week’s D69 sales. It’s a fantastic piece for, anywhere really, with beautifully textured wood slabs and rock. This bench is elegant in it’s simplicity. Containing solo sits and couple cuddles. A big thank you to Mahogany for joining me on the bench to try the animations, and for posing with me for the picture. This also made my song choice happen naturally.

The Konoha – Peach blossom – Prunus nora, is now available in the Konoha mainstore after being released for the Sakura Matsuri event. It comes with snow (soft link, so you can delete the snow. Unless you’re in Norway then the snow is still naturally part of the tree). With several gorgeous winter and spring blossom colors, and glow option too, this is bound to be one of the prettiest trees in your spring garden!

I have followed and admired Keira Raindale’s work since I became a SL resident back in 2017/18, and now I’m so lucky to be able to showcase her work on my blog. Raindale is participating in this round of We Love Roleplay with the Dappleglow collection. This collection consists of two tree stumps, where one is a seat (solo sits), and the other is a magical source with light and animated sparkles! You also get a big collection of mystical mushrooms (notice I did not say magic mushrooms, and also these are not possible to ingest); 3 different mushroom shapes in 5 different colors.

Konoha is at Cosmopolitan with the “Jest” Bushes collection. Now this is every landscapers dream! Bushes, 1-2 LI each! 12 different shapes single bushes, and 2 linked groups (5-7 LI). The season change menu offers 6 different types of green foliage, 7 different autumn foliage, and a bare snowy winter version. They are absolutely stunning bushes, and I am totally in love with them.

Another thing that is useful for landscapers, are the cliff covers from FANATIK. The kit contains 10 building pieces; 6 rock walls, 2 platforms, and ramp + ramp mirror. Compatible with the FANATIK Land Shapes. Texture change HUD with 5 different rock types and snowy versions. You can find the Cliff Covers NG in the FANATIK mainstore.

An illusion or not, we still count the days until the Engine Room event opens on March 20th, and tomorrow is the day! LORE will participate with the splendidly done Splendid Set! A beautiful Steampunk set, consisting of a small shed in wood and iron, with brass decor, and with a working clock on the roof. The clock is softlinked to the building so that you can remove it if you prefer without. The Auto-Rubbish bin, which opens upon touch, and closes again automatically (spinny lever!), comes in black, blue, brown, green and red. A bench in iron and wood, with beautiful decorative elements, and to complete the set, there’s also cast iron bollards with chains, and a plank path kit! Be splendid!

The landscape, apart from the Elder Oak and the fluffy Natoma grass from Konoha, consists solely of land forms, rocks and textures provided by FANATIK. The Abano Bushy Terrain pack contains 4 different mesh land forms, with different terrain textures. The Abano Path set consists of 3 path pieces. The Abano Rock Cluster pack contains 4 different land forms with rock clusters, and lastly the Abano Pebbles set consisting of 6 different meshes with pebble and terrain texture. All of which come with season change HUD (summer/winter). All the pieces can be placed together beautifully into an entire landscape. I used them all in my picture. The cliffs in the background I made by retexturing bigger mesh land forms, using the Ground Layers group gifts from FANATIK.

I will protect the Precious Dragon Egg from LORE, that’s hidden inside one of the cave chambers of the FANATIC Caves. Word of this precious bejeweled egg’s existence came out, so thieves and goblins have been trying to find it for days now, and now they’ve found the portal. I’m ready.
