I’m so glad I’m able to blog the snow roof version (the snow roof is a addon) of the Dutchie Waterland House while it’s still winter. Also, I just had to have the Konoha Syringa in the scene because the winter ‘snow’ and winter ‘bare’ versions look just as amazing as the in-bloom versions. I’m using the snow version.

Now the Waterland House is off the scale charming. It’s a 17th Century wooden house on brick foundation, with an L-shaped floor plan. It looks small, and with its 17 x 17 m footprint it doesn’t take up much space, but it’s actually very spacious inside. The large open living space and open loft make it feel so roomy. Spiral staircase can be walked on, but also teleports you to the attic when touched. Touch the railing upstairs will teleport you back down. There’s also a closed off side room. I can’t wait to start furnishing inside! Ok, I already started. You get to see the result soon.

It’s ok because we plan on sleigh-in it!

It is December 1st and those deer are absolutely slayin’ it compared to me. I love Christmas. Especially the food… but I’m never ready for Christmas; definitely not ready on December 1st but I’m never really ready on December 24th either. Christmas Eve morning is when you see me and thousands of other Norwegians make last minute store runs for that present we forgot or groceries we think we can’t but definitely can live without until stores reopen again on December 27. Ow, make that December 28 this year! We should maybe start stocking up right now!

MIIX Event round 8 just opened and they always have a lot of good deals so make sure to check that out! This round of the MIIX Event runs from November 30th through December 20th.

We’re not even half way through January and I’m already waiting for Spring. It’s a while still, until April, which is when we can maybe start seeing any signs of Spring here. We might even get a couple of feet of snow in April so the patience game is real now!

The Young Ginkgo Tree by The Little Branch is lightly animated and comes with a season changer menu. You can just touch it and the menu pops up and you can change from Winter to Spring in just a couple of seconds. In my letter to Santa there is only one wish, one that can’t be bought. I’ll just keep it in my heart and hope that one day my wish comes true.

Snow Covered

Second post today because I have so many awesome items I’d like to show you! Yes, I’m still at work and you might think I’m still procaffeinating but I’ve actually done some work and now I can upload the other picture I took yesterday and quickly, sort of, write this post. I think I’ll have a cookie with my coffee…

The beautiful Oak Tree Shrub by The Little Branch is a new release that is now available at Equal10. The Oak Tree Shrub is an intricately branched ornamental shrub with hollylike leaves. The dense foliage makes it the perfect specimen to fill bare spots or to create a privacy barrier. This shrub will make a beautiful addition to your landscape. Season changer menu is available upon Touch, it’s Copy/Modify and has a Land Impact range of 3-6.

The lovely house is the Southern Cottage by DaD, which is a previous release but the Snow Roof addon is new and waiting for you at the DaD mainstore and marketplace! If you don’t know the Southern Cottage from before here are the specs; It has a large porch that runs along 3 sides of the house. Inside you’ll find a spacious living room, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and dining room/living room. Touch any of the switches to change colour of the exterior or any room. The Polar Night has arrived where I live and I, unless I travel south, won’t feel the warmth of the Sun again for quite a while. The Sun will peek above the horizon again in about a month, but warmth? Maybe in February 😆

The puppies and I have been on a mission to find the perfect Christmas tree and we did so in the most beautiful setting. The girls are excited that we’re bringing a whole tree inside the house.. but no chewing on it! This is also why I can’t put my presents under the tree. They are very good puppers, but they just can’t resist opening presents!

Freezing Over

As if I don’t have enough snow and cold in real life, I went ahead and made it snow outside The Bar @ HaVen. While I was finishing up the ground cover, Little Branch released a new tree so I figured I’d take a picture of it right here before I clutter up the parcel with all sorts of wintery bushes, trees and decor.

Little Branch is at this round of Uber with another beautiful tree; the Zelkova Serrata. Delicately animated like it’s moving to a light breeze. Touch it to bring up the season changer menu. My picture shows the Winter version. The tree is at 7 Li out of the box, but it’s Copy/Mod and resizing it will change the Land Impact.

I dug up the Tree Sled Rezzer from my inventory. It’s a past release by CHEZ MOI so you can find this in their mainstore and marketplace. You and your friends can have some fun in the snow, just click the sign to rez a sled, choose either male or female animation and off you go! Be careful not to swoosh off world!

If you read my previous blog post, you already know I have snow where I live. So, if Mahogany suddenly were able to teleport over, we would certainly NOT stay outside in the snow very long we would mostly have hygge-time inside by the fireplace but…

First Snow

The first snow came in the last week of October, here in Northern Norway. We got about 30 cm (a foot) of snow overnight and it stuck. The world looked like in my picture for several days after. Have you ever tried walking Dachshunds in a foot of snow? 😅

I’m happy to inform you that the “Snow Roof add on Beachyhead House” is now available! Find it at the DaD mainstore and marketplace.

The Snow Add On is 17 Li and Copy/Mod. To use it on your Beachyhead House, rez the “Snow add on Beachyhead House”, edit the Beachyhead House and copy the position and rotation coordinates of the house to the add on.

If you don’t own it already; The Beachyhead House is two floors with windows on three sides for views to the outside and for the light to pour in. It has a large deck in front, two large sliding glass doors open into the house. The doors can be left open so that you have an open floor plan, which makes it great for entertaining. Immediately to the left are 3 steps down that lead you into another large room. Next to the stairs is the staircase going up to the second floor that has a small balcony looking down to the first floor. The second floor has a large bedroom and/or other room.

Throughout the house you have a mixture of wood, brick and solid color textures to accentuate the home. Other features included in the home is the glass wall partitions that separates the rooms below and also borders the stairs and the top balcony. The Beachyhead House is 104 Li, Copy/Mod and its footprint is 35,5×28 out of the box.
