I lived for art. I lived for love.

Vissi D’Arte is one of the most beautiful soprano arias ever written. It’s from the opera Tosca by Puccini, which premiered in Rome’s Teatro Costanzi on January 14, 1900. I want to share with you the moment when Leontyne Price visits the Ed Sullivan Show back in 1965, and performs the aria in such a magnificent way it brings tears to my eyes, it’s so beautiful. Leontyne Price turned 97 this year, in February.

Another beautiful aria… (how’s that for a transition) is a living room set from SQUARE. The Aria set contains sofa, available in PG and Adult versions, marble coffee table, and side table, area rug, hanging lights, table lamp, two decorative vases, two candles, and magazine. Choose between 15 colors for the sofa, and several texture options for the decor. The SQUARE Aria set is available at this round of the Anthology event.

I’m also showing the Proxima TV-wall which is available in the SQUARE mainstore. It comes in 4 different versions. Media TV, decorative vase, calendar, and books are included.

I lived for my art, I lived for love,
I never did harm to a living soul!
With a secret hand
I relieved as many misfortunes as I knew of.
Always with true faith
my prayer
rose to the holy shrines.
Always with true faith
I gave flowers to the altar.
In the hour of grief
why, why, o Lord,
why do you reward me thus?
I gave jewels for the Madonna’s mantle,
and I gave my song to the stars, to heaven,
which smiled with more beauty.
In the hour of grief
why, why, o Lord,
ah, why do you reward me thus?
