I spend way too much time trying to come up with clever blog post titles. So today I’m saving some time, and maybe, if all goes smoothly, finish the next scene this evening. There are so many ideas for scenes floating around in my mind, that I need more hours in a day to actually excecute them all! ๐Ÿ˜œ

The DaD Courtyard Roman Swimming Pool is available at this round of FaMESHed. The swimming pool includes a jacuzzi, and it has everything you need to have an amazing time with family and friends. This pool comes in both PG + Family and Adult (MF, MM, FF) + Family versions, and it’s packed with nice animations and fun activities. 2 sizes included, and extra tiles to put around your pool. There’s also a bonus tile textures pack included, I used it to change the look of my poolside.

The beautiful little Mediterranean inspired terrace villa, is the Djerva by Scafall. It’s just the perfect little crib for warm regions, where you can enjoy the sun on the spacious rooftop terrace, or the cool and equally spacious ground floor studio. I wouldn’t mind living here. The Djerva is now available in the Scafall store, and it’s 10% off if you’re wearing the Scafall group tag when you shop in the mainstore.

Konoha has some gorgeous old olive trees in the store. The Olea elena comes in 4 different shapes, and moss/no moss versions. All Konoha plants and trees are copy/modify.

Getting a closer look of the Bricolage Chichi Bamboo Chaise Lounge, that I first featured in this post. The chaise comes in two versions, with and without umbrella, and is available in both PG and Adult versions. Texture change options for pillows and blanket. There’s a wearable umbrella included in the pack, as well as a decorative beach bag, which comes in 4 different textures. The Chichi Bamboo Chaise is available in the Bricolage store.

CHEZ MOI is participating in this round of Cosmopolitan with the Harlow Chaise set. With this modern and elegant chaise, wooden console, floor lamp and plants you can create a cozy area for you to relax in, by yourself or with someone special. If you’re in the Scafall update group in-world, there’s a new group gift for you! The Eve Garden Lights come in several shapes and linked groups. They are beautiful in their simplicity, and they create a wonderful atmosphere, wherever you put them. Along a pathway, around some bushes, in a vase indoors. I will certainly be putting these out outside my own house, and use them in more scenes to come.

There’s a previous release by Bricolage that I’ve been wanting to show you, and that’s the beautiful Chichi Bamboo Chaise that’s outside on the porch there. It’s definitely a must for sunny days ahead, on the beach, outside your cabana, the areas of use are plenty. This chaise also come in PG and Adult versions. In the set you’ll also find beach bags and a parasol. Theres a version of the chaise with the parasol attached, and there’s a parasol for you to hold! Enjoy the sea and the sun, and have some fun!

Showcasing the Bricolage Olympia Living Room set today, and this is a beautiful African inspired set. The couch is available in PG and Adult versions. Choose between two colors for the couch, and two wood textures for the base/legs. There are lots of pillow textures to choose from: wild cats, dinosaurs, papaya, puppies, peacocks. etc. The set also consists of enamel lanterns, shadow boxes with african wall plates, rugs, and tables. I hope you like this as much as I do!

I used the Sabia skybox from La Petite Vie for this living room, and tinted the walls in a Namibian desert dune type red. See the blog post for the Sabia skybox here.

Some of us are starting to long for spring and summer more than others, I think. I’m getting dreamy eyes and a heart filled with sunshine while I’m working on setting up a scene with the new Rosamund bedroom furniture from Bricolage. The wooden sleigh bed is soft and has fluffy pillows, light and romantic texture options for the comforter, throw and the pillows at the headboard. Sorry not sorry for the Norwegian caption. There is simply no English equivalent.

Romjul starts tomorrow, December 27th. Romjul or romhelg are very old Norwegian words (from Norse: rรบmheilagr ‘not holy by law’) to describe the days between the Christmas holidays and the end of Christmas (January 6th). Nowadays we usually mean the days between the Christmas holidays and New Year’s Eve.

Romjul is often full of hygge. It might even be extra hyggelig! And we all remember that Hygge is a Norwegian and Danish word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment, right? Hence, we get Romjulshygge when our homes are still decorated with Christmas lights and candles and blankets and the fireplace is crackling and baby, it’s cold outside!

A Peaceful Christmas Morning

I had a wonderful Christmas Eve celebration yesterday. I was preparing Christmas dinner together with my mom, with the Norwegian Broadcasting’s Boys’ Choir singing on TV as the church bells rang in Christmas. In that moment… If I’m not feeling the Christmas spirit before then I’m definitely feeling it now. This choir has been singing in Christmas every year for as long as I can remember. We had a wonderful dinner and then we unwrapped our presents.

Today I’m having a very peaceful Christmas Day. I’m having a white Christmas (almost) every year but we got a lot of snow this week, I’ve already been out this morning shoveling snow in the dog yard. Short legged furbabies need pathways in the snow to be able to move about. After dinner I’ll go out again and shovel the driveway. To those who are starting their Christmas celebration today; enjoy every moment. If you’re celebrating with children, please don’t get drunk. If you’re celebrating by yourself this Christmas, I hope you can find something to be grateful for and that you’re still able to enjoy the holidays. Merry Christmas!
